Grief, Loss & Starting Over

"My Wife Said You May Want to Marry Me"
by Jason B. Rosenthal
The book is based on the actual events of a talented writer struck with a terminal diagnosis and the recollection, and reflection from the husband she leaves behind.
What first struck me about this book was how the author so eloquently narrated his unique story. His recollection of their love story resonated with me. From the start of this book, I was quickly captured.
This book is a helpful tool for those working in service to families at end of life. It helps to see things from the point of view of the bereaved, and to better anticipate their needs, so that we may best serve them.
For those experiencing their own grief, the book is a frank telling of one family's journey of bereavement and healing.
The Author shares some helpful tips to deal with grief, self-care insights, and some helpful books that served them well.
No matter who you are, the book offers empathy, hope, and glimpses of a return to happiness.
I would say this book is well worth reading and one I will be mindful to recommend to those facing a profound loss or life change.
